Backstage is absolutely that place! Queer owned, woman owned, the only dedicated queer space in downtown Greenville. The drinks are phenomenal and with the roasting seasonal menu you never know what you may find! Mack and Anna are simply the greatest, period. Upstairs is a vintage ship with good selection and great prices. You MUST stop by.

This charming Victorian-style house, lives up to other reviews of feeling like a hidden gem, full of vibrant and whimsical charm. It’s a cozy and colorful coffee shop full of personality and flair...lots of flair. with intricate woodwork and a red roof. The bold pink sign out front with its psychedelic-style lettering immediately signals that you’re in for a unique experience. The coffee bar area is playful and intimate, decked out in various shades of pink. The eclectic countertop displays toys, trinkets, and menus, making the space feel like a cross between a coffee shop and a Barbie dreamhouse. Two other rooms in the house provide cozy seating areas flooded with warm natural light. The decor creates a nostalgic, lived-in atmosphere perfect for sipping a latte and relaxing with friends. Overall, the coffee shop has a fun, retro-inspired aesthetic that feels welcoming, artsy, and unabashedly bold. Oh, and the coffee was bold too with unique flavor combos to choose from.

I literally DREAM of this coffee. You do not understand, I visited from Portland, Oregon where we probably have more coffee shops than people and the Super Trouper was THE BEST signature coffee drink I've ever had. I never would have chosen a banana flavor drink, but this was so subtle, yet flavorful. I had to go back and get it again before I headed home. Not to mention that the shop is inside of a super cute old house and the rooms are fun and eclectic. They have the most creative menu that I've ever seen at a coffee shop before. It is truly torture living so far away, yet probably good for my bank account because I would come here on the daily. P.S could you pleaaaseee make the super trouper a regular menu item??

Backstage Coffee isn’t just another coffee shop, it’s an experience, and that was evident from the moment I first discovered them online. Their branding and marketing are a perfect blend of artistry and authenticity, making me eager to visit before I even stepped through the door. Their social media presence is a standout, featuring high-quality images, behind-the-scenes content, and community-focused posts that feel genuine and engaging. They don’t just showcase their drinks; they tell stories—whether it’s the inspiration behind a new seasonal latte or the journey of their coffee sourcing. Their posts create a personal connection that made me feel like part of their world. I especially appreciated how their marketing seamlessly translates into the in-store experience. The atmosphere matches what they promote: warm, welcoming, and infused with passion for both coffee and community. Beyond their strong branding, the coffee itself is outstanding. Every sip of my latte was smooth, balanced, and clearly crafted with care. I also tried one of their seasonal lattes after seeing it featured on their Instagram, and it was just as delicious as it looked in their posts. Their attention to detail extends from the digital space to the in-person experience, creating a sense of consistency and professionalism that’s rare to find. Backstage Coffee nails it when it comes to both product and presentation. Their marketing efforts don’t just draw you in—they deliver on every promise, making you want to return again and again. If you’re looking for a coffee shop that truly understands coffee, branding, and community, this is it! Highly recommend it!

Backstage Coffee is hands down one of the coolest coffee spots in Greenville! The pink interior is vibrant and inviting, and it really sets the place apart from any other coffee shop around here. I love that the menu changes with the seasons and holidays — I tried the Lucky Charms drink for St. Patrick's Day, and it was delicious and super fun! The staff were so friendly and walked me through their menu. The upstairs vintage clothing store adds to the trendy, college-friendly vibe, making it more than just a coffee shop. Definitely my new favorite spot in Greenville!

Backstage Coffee is my new favorite gem in Greenville. From the moment you step in, you're welcomed by a colorful and fun atmosphere that lifts your spirits. I was greeted with a warm welcome and the baristas made an effort to connect personally with each customer. They also seemed to be knowledgeable about their craft, and were eager to recommend beverages, especially from their seasonal menu. Within the shop, you can find multiple menus and business cards along the coffee station, near the register, and on the wall. They perfectly match the shop’s creative ambiance. They have an active presence online, both on their website and social media accounts, where you can easily find their menu, seasonal offerings, and regular posts. Prices are clearly displayed on both physical menus and digital platforms. The shop offers seasonal menus, introducing fun and unique drinks that keep customers returning to try the latest creations. Overall, I had a welcoming and authentic experience at Backstage Coffee.
